Mahesh Kumar Goud Appointed New Telangana Congress Chief, BRS Leaders Join Congress

On Friday, the Congress party appointed Mahesh Kumar Goud as the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, succeeding Revanth Reddy. The party extended its appreciation for Reddy's contributions.
The Telangana Congress took to social media platform X to congratulate Goud. 'On behalf of Telangana Congress, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr Mahesh Kumar Goud, who has been appointed as the 4th TPCC President of Telangana State,' the party wrote.
Goud expressed gratitude for the faith shown in him by senior Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi. In his social media post, he also thanked party volunteers and members for their hard work and looked forward to uniting efforts to elevate the party.
Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) MLA from Chevella, Kale Yadaiah, joined the Congress on June 28 in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Deepadas Munshi. He was formally welcomed with a 'kanduva' by the Chief Minister.
Several prominent BRS leaders, including Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar and others, have recently joined Congress, marking a significant political shift in Telangana.
