Four Women Arrested in 38 Silk Sarees Theft Spree in Bengaluru
Bengaluru Police arrested four women for stealing 38 silk sarees worth Rs 17.5 lakhs from a JP Nagar shop. They employed diversion tactics and were involved in other similar thefts in the area.

Bengaluru Police have apprehended four women accused of stealing 38 silk sarees, valued at approximately Rs 17.5 lakhs, from a shop in the JP Nagar area.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda stated, "These four women, along with two others, visited a silk shop in JP Nagar and attempted to divert the attention of the shop workers. They tried to leave with about 18 sarees."
A shop staff member, suspicious of their actions, questioned them. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that these women were involved in similar thefts at other shops in JP Nagar and Jayanagar. The stolen sarees have been recovered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the two additional suspects, noted Commissioner Dayananda.
