Verdict Pending: Azam Khan's Bail in 2022 Theft Case

The Allahabad High Court has reserved its verdict on a bail application by former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan for a 2022 theft case involving a road sweeping machine. The case, registered by Wakar Ali Khan, alleges that Khan and others misused their power to steal and hide the machine at Jauhar University.

The Allahabad High Court on Monday reserved its verdict on the bail application of former Uttar Pradesh minister and Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, linked to a 2022 theft case.

Justice Samit Gopal made the decision after hearing arguments from Khan's counsel and the state government's lawyer.

Khan is accused of stealing a road sweeping machine, purchased by Nagar Palika Parishad, Rampur, which was later allegedly hidden at Jauhar University and recovered by state authorities. The FIR, filed by Wakar Ali Khan, claims the theft involved misuse of power.
