Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has urged voters in the Channapatna assembly segment to consider a vote for Congress as a vote for him, irrespective of the candidate. Speaking from his Sadashivanagar residence on Friday, Shivakumar confirmed his pivotal role in issuing the 'B' form and emphasized his personal stake in the by-elections.
Addressing the media, Shivakumar brushed aside the significance of the BJP-JDS alliance for the bypoll, reaffirming his faith in the electorate's judgment. He dismissed questions about C P Yogeshwar's potential independent run, questioning the credibility of such media reports.
Highlighting recent initiatives, Shivakumar pointed to a job fair aimed at providing employment to the region's youth and touted the progress of the Yettinahole project. On the topic of the 'Raj Bhavan Chalo' march, he announced that Congress will appeal to the Governor, countering BJP's demands for the Chief Minister's resignation over a land controversy.
