In an open letter titled 'Women's Safety: Enough is Enough,' Murmu emphasized the need for societal self-introspection to uncover the roots of crimes against women.

She called for honoring the memory of victims to make society more vigilant and highlighted the necessity for both state and society to counter the objectification of women. Murmu also pointed out the ingrained social prejudices that hinder women's rights and called for a comprehensive approach to curb such crimes.
