Murmu also pointed out the ingrained social prejudices that hinder women's rights and called for a comprehensive approach to curb such crimes.

She cited the Nirbhaya case and noted that despite social campaigns and laws, a mindset persists that enables such atrocities. Addressing the nation's collective amnesia towards these crimes, she stressed the importance of facing history squarely and preparing for a more vigilant future.
