Wolves Terrorize Bahraich: Seven Dead, Villages on High Alert

The Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh has been grappling with a severe wolf menace over the past two months, resulting in seven fatalities, as confirmed by district administration authorities.
Bahraich District Magistrate Monika Rani stated, "In the last two months, several wolf attacks have occurred, leading to seven deaths. Public representatives and the police, along with other departments, are urging residents to stay indoors at night. The Forest Department is actively working to capture the wolves, and compensation has been provided to the victims' families."
Efforts to manage the crisis are in full swing. Three wolves have been captured, with many teams deployed to catch the remaining ones. BJP MLA Sureshwar Singh, who has been patrolling the affected areas, warned residents and assured them of the proactive measures by the government. State Forest Minister Arun Saxena has called for drone monitoring and requested residents to avoid sleeping outdoors. Further assistance has been called in from Indian Forest Service officer Akashdeep Badhawan to expedite the capture of the remaining wolves.
