The government is set to launch an innovative scheme aimed at training 14-18-year-old girls in non-traditional job roles, a top official revealed on Wednesday. This initiative aims to bolster women's participation in the labour force.

The pilot phase is scheduled to commence within 2-3 weeks, according to Anil Malik, Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Initially, the scheme will cover 27 districts before expanding to 218 nationwide.

Dubbed the 'Introduction of Special Project for Empowering Adolescent Girls & Women,' the program will provide training near schools and homes alongside continuous education.
