Leaders Unite in Celebrating Krishna Janmashtami Across India
Political leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Adityanath, extended their Janmashtami wishes through prayers and heartfelt messages, highlighting the cultural and religious significance of the festival. Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav marked Krishna Janmashtami by offering prayers at the Radha Krishna temple in Lucknow. The SP Chief participated in the aarti, celebrating the occasion with traditional fervour.
Yadav extended Janmashtami greetings via a poetic post on social media platform X, expressing his wishes for a Krishna-filled celebration. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also observed the festival by offering prayers at the Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura. 'I pray to the Lord for happiness and prosperity for the people of the state,' Adityanath said in his Janmashtami message on X.
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav performed 'Gau-Seva' in Bhopal, offering his best wishes to the citizens. 'May this holy festival bring good fortune into everyone's life,' he wrote.
President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi extended their Janmashtami greetings as well. 'This festival inspires us to be dedicated to the divine ideals of Lord Shri Krishna,' President Murmu noted, urging citizens to embrace Krishna's teachings for national progress.
'Happy Janmashtami to all. Jai Shri Krishna!' PM Modi shared succinctly, while Rahul Gandhi hoped the festival brings new excitement and enthusiasm to everyone's lives.
