Nation Celebrates Janmashtami with Zeal: Leaders Extend Greetings

Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan celebrated Janmashtami by visiting the Radha Ras Bihari Temple of ISKCON in Juhu, Mumbai, where he performed the aarti of Lord Krishna and had darshan of the deities. Eminent ISKCON leaders, including President Brajhari Das, Zonal Secretary Devki Nandan Das, and Vice President Mukund Madhav Das, were present.

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended their greetings on the occasion. President Murmu, in a post on X, emphasized the importance of imbibing Lord Krishna's teachings for the nation's progress. PM Modi wished everyone a happy Janmashtami, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his wishes, hoping the festival brings enthusiasm and excitement to all.

Devotees thronged temples across India, such as Ahmedabad's ISKCON Temple and Mathura's Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple, to celebrate Lord Krishna's birth. Temples were adorned with colorful decorations, and the sound of devotional bells and songs filled the air. The festival was marked by fasting and decorating with flowers, diyas, and lights.
