On Sri Krishna Janmashtami, devotees across the country flocked to various temples to celebrate Lord Krishna's birthday with grandeur on Monday. The sound of bells, mridangs, and conch shells resonated through temples, particularly at the Radha Krishna campus.

The nation embraced the festivities, with temples adorned with colorful lights and flowers. A massive turnout was seen at Ahmedabad's ISKCON Temple for the occasion.

Similarly, large congregations were observed at the ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash and the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple, also known as the Birla Temple, during the morning aarti. Dwarka's ISKCON Temple also held aarti, echoing the devotee fervor seen in Mumbai's Chowpatty ISKCON Temple.

In Madhya Pradesh, the Jugal Kishore Ji Temple gleamed with colorful lights. Manali's Mall Road witnessed sizeable crowds for ISKCON's celebration event.

Mathura's Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple saw tight security, with over 2000 personnel deployed, supplemented by drones and ATS teams for safety, detailed Mathura Superintendent (Security) Bajrang Bali Chaurasia. UP CM Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit.

Krishna Janmashtami, celebrated on August 26, is marked by fasting, and decorating temples and homes nationwide. Festivities are notably grand in Mathura and Vrindavan, where Krishna's formative years were spent.
