The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended the approval of International Aircraft Sales Private Limited, effective immediately, citing significant safety concerns.

The decision follows a crash landing of a Cessna 152 aircraft, VT-BBB, operated by Belagavi Aviation and Sport Enterprises, on August 11 during a test flight after engine failure.

The aircraft was on its first flight post-maintenance, including an engine overhaul, at International Aircraft Sales Pvt Ltd's DGCA-approved facility in Bhopal. A subsequent DGCA audit revealed serious maintenance standard issues at the facility.

This suspension echoes a similar action last year when Red Bird Flight Training Academy Pvt Ltd faced a suspension post a series of serious incidents, which was lifted only after thorough recertification of their maintenance facilities.
