Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced the construction of a rest house for journalists in Gairsain (Bharadisain). The Director General of the Information Department, Bansidhar Tiwari, has been instructed to prepare an immediate action plan for the project. According to Dhami, developing Gairsain into a hub for yoga, meditation, and spirituality is a government priority. Necessary guidelines have been issued to officials to facilitate this vision, Dhami shared on social media platform X.

The Chief Minister also directed the Secretary of Culture and Religious Affairs, Harichandra Semwal, to build a grand temple dedicated to Maa Bharadi Devi in Gairsain. The initiative will involve local residents and pilgrimage priests for suggestions. Dhami emphasized that the government aims for the all-round development of Gairsain, including organizing various training, workshops, and seminar programs throughout the year at Gairsain Bhawan.

Dhami stated that Secretary-level officers would be responsible for executing these year-long programs, which are envisioned to strengthen the local economy. Additionally, plans are in place to develop Gairsain as a center of yoga, meditation, and spirituality. Construction work for police housing in Bharadisain is currently underway, furthering sustainable development efforts. Dhami also inaugurated the three-day Nanda Devi Lokjat fair in Chamoli, where he announced upgrades to local infrastructure, including sports grounds and a district hospital.
