The Indian Army organized events across its camps in Rupai, Phillobari, Dirak, Makum, and Laipuli in Tinsukia district of Assam, as well as Bordumsa camp in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Girls from various schools, members of Akhil Bhartiya Marwadi Mahila Sammelan, Marwadi Mahila Pragati Sanstha, and representatives of Brahmakumaris Ishyariya College joined the celebrations alongside soldiers.

During the ceremony, the women tied Rakhis on soldiers' wrists, symbolizing mutual respect and acknowledgment of their duty. The celebration highlighted the deep bond between citizens and soldiers, showcasing the unwavering trust and respect within the nation. Earlier, women in Soni Village along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir also tied Rakhis to Indian army personnel.

In Amritsar, Punjab, Border Security Force (BSF) jawans at the Attari-Wagah border celebrated the festival with local women and children, who tied Rakhis and offered them sweets. Raksha Bandhan is a traditional Hindu festival that signifies the love and bond between brothers and sisters, where sisters tie Rakhis around their brothers' wrists and receive gifts in return.
