The Border Security Force (BSF) troops successfully intercepted a significant smuggling operation at the Indo-Bangladesh International Border, resulting in the arrest of an Indian smuggler and the confiscation of 40 kilograms of Ganja in West Bengal's Cooch Behar.

In a rapid and well-coordinated effort, the vigilant troops of the 157 Battalion BSF conducted a targeted search operation in the border area of District Cooch Behar, West Bengal. This operation not only led to the arrest of an Indian smuggler but also to the seizure of 40 kilograms of Ganja and 150 bottles of prohibited cough syrup, which were intended for smuggling into Bangladesh.

In other related operations, BSF troops, acting on reliable information, thwarted multiple smuggling attempts. They seized a total of 602 bottles of prohibited cough syrup and rescued eight cattle heads from traffickers who were attempting to move them across the international border into Bangladesh. The apprehended smuggler and the confiscated contraband have been handed over to local police authorities for further legal proceedings.
