Gurugram malls were evacuated on Saturday after district officials received an emailed bomb threat, according to authorities. Police, along with the dog squad and civil defense teams, initiated searches around 10 a.m., said Mohit Sharma, Chief of Gurugram's Civil Defence Team.
Simultaneously, the Uttar Pradesh Police conducted a security mock drill at the DLF Mall of India in Noida. DCP Noida Ram Badan Singh stated, 'A security mock drill was conducted in DLF mall. These drills ensure that large areas are checked for safety. Fire services, dog squad, and police teams were all involved.'
On August 9, an unidentified caller falsely claimed that RDX had been planted at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Government Railway Police quickly informed local authorities and the bomb squad, leading to extensive searches, but no explosives were found. Tracing attempts revealed the caller's location near CSMT, but the individual switched off their phone soon after, with the number traced to both Mumbai and Bihar.
