Congress MP Randeep Surjewala has leveled accusations against the BJP-led Haryana government, alleging that they have deceived the state's populace ahead of the impending assembly polls in October. "The 10-year regime of the Bharatiya Janata Party is riddled with atrocities. No segment of society has been spared from their deceit," Surjewala asserted.

Surjewala proclaimed that the electorate of Haryana is set to oust the BJP come October 1. The state's assembly elections will be conducted in a single phase, with Jammu and Kashmir's polling spanning from September 18 to October 1, and vote counting scheduled for October 4.

Meanwhile, former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects, stating, "The BJP will secure its third consecutive term in Haryana. The public has lost trust in Congress." He added that the BJP remains well-prepared for the elections, mirroring their governance at the center under PM Narendra Modi's leadership.

Khattar criticized Congress veteran Bhupinder Singh Hooda for engaging in caste-based politics. "In 2014, we championed 'Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek,' focusing on combating crime, corruption, and caste politics," Khattar noted, dismissing Congress's chances. Nevertheless, Hooda remains optimistic about Congress's victory, claiming that voters across various demographics are keen to restore Congress to power.

The current BJP-led coalition government, previously allied with the JJP, comes to an end on November 3, 2024. The fractured alliance and upcoming elections will see a four-way battle between the BJP, Congress, JJP, and AAP in Haryana's 90 legislative assembly constituencies. (ANI)
