The meeting highlighted the potential for bolstering existing operations and exploring new opportunities.
Key officials, including Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and various industry ministers, underscored Karnataka's reputation as a global tech investment hub. Foxconn's commitment includes setting up a significant mobile phone assembly plant named Project Elephant, securing 300 acres in the ITIR Industrial Area, promising substantial economic growth and job creation.
CM Siddaramaiah emphasized the state's competitive advantages in logistics, power supply, and skilled workforce, pledging complete support for Foxconn's initiatives. Meanwhile, Foxconn CEO Young Liu expressed enthusiasm for expanding operations in Karnataka, appreciating the state's proactive support in infrastructure and approvals, which are key to their projects' success.
