In Phagi, 42 students and eight staff members have been cut off from their village as the Masi River overflowed, making the bridge impassable. Villagers took the initiative to arrange food and bedding for the stranded individuals.
Amba Lal Bahiro, a concerned parent, stated, "There's no other way to commute... The villagers arranged for food and bedding... No one from the administration has reached us. I talked to the SDM last night but he has been unreachable since. No rescue team has been sent. The children have been stranded for the last 27 hours." Bahiro added that when he talked to his daughter, she began to cry.
