In anticipation of the 78th Independence Day, the Indian Army on Wednesday organized a 'Tiranga Yatra' from Col. Rinchen's Memorial to the Hall of Fame in Leh, Ladakh. Army personnel paraded waving the tricolour, singing patriotic songs, and gearing up for the August 15th celebrations.

The 'Tiranga Yatra' is a segment of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,' a campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to instill nationalism by encouraging citizens to display the National flag at their residences. Parallelly, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' walkathon in Srinagar.

Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector CRPF, stated, "With 'Har Ghar Tiranga,' Srinagar Sector CRPF organized a walkathon involving CRPF jawans. The aim is to evoke respect for the Tiranga among people. We are pleased to facilitate this event." In Telangana, CRPF, as part of the campaign, initiated a rally from Parade Ground in Chandrayan Gutta to Charminar in Hyderabad.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took part in 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan' in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, highlighting the campaign's role in fostering patriotism and the vision of a developed India by 2047. "This campaign is not just an expression of patriotism but also a resolution to build Viksit Bharat," stated Shah.

Prime Minister Modi, during his 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, invited all Indians to join the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to commemorate Independence Day. Launched in 2021, this initiative forms part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aiming to cultivate patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag.
