The Indian Army marked International Youth Day with an array of activities designed to inspire and engage the young population across North Eastern India, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defence's Public Relations Officer for Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

A key event was a motivational lecture in Tuisomzang, Kangpokpi district, Manipur, focusing on career opportunities in the Armed Forces, including the Agniveer initiative, and their role in nation-building.

Schoolchildren and Army personnel also participated in an afforestation drive, pledging support for sustainable living under the theme 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam'. Interactive lectures in schools in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh highlighted youth development schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat).

These initiatives underscore the Army's commitment to youth engagement and holistic development, fostering harmony between the Army and local communities, and contributing to peace-building and national integration. (ANI)
