Indian Army's Brave Stand: Two Soldiers Martyred in Anantnag Operation

An operation is actively underway by the Indian Army to track down terrorists in Ahlan Gadool, Kokernag, located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. On Saturday, the action resulted in the deaths of two Army soldiers while two civilians sustained injuries.
Army Chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, along with all ranks of the Indian Army, paid tribute to Havildar Dipak Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Praveen Sharma, who were killed in the line of duty during the encounter. The Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD (Army), conveyed their condolences in a post on X.
The encounter commenced as part of a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF in Kokernag. Despite the challenging terrain at an altitude of 10,000 feet, security forces are continuing their efforts. The Defence officials confirmed the loss of two soldiers in this intense operation. (ANI)
