Monarch Tractors, a U.S.-based electric tractor company, recently met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other senior officials to discuss potential investments in the state. The meeting took place during a U.S. trip aimed at attracting investments to Telangana, according to an official release.

Already operational with a research and development center in Hyderabad since 2023, Monarch Tractors plans to expand this R&D hub, creating more high-tech job opportunities. The company also announced the establishment of an autonomous tractor testing facility in Hyderabad to support their ongoing innovations.

The Telangana delegation further urged Monarch Tractors to consider setting up manufacturing operations in the state. "We were delighted to meet Chief Minister Reddy and other officials to discuss our commitment to innovation in Telangana," said Praveen Penmetsa, CEO of Monarch Tractors. "Our R&D center in Hyderabad has been instrumental in building our advanced driver-optional smart electric tractors. We see an opportunity to expand our operations in Telangana, bringing more manufacturing and employment to the region," he added.

Monarch Tractors handed over a letter of intent to explore the possibility of setting up a manufacturing facility in Telangana. The company is pioneering the farming sector with the introduction of the world's first fully autonomous, driver-optional smart electric tractor, leveraging advanced technologies like electrification, automation, and AI to mitigate labor shortages and boost productivity and sustainability in agriculture.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed, "We are focused on attracting high-tech, environmentally-friendly companies and welcoming Monarch Tractors to our state. We are positioning Telangana as a leader in autonomous and electric vehicle technology. Monarch Tractors align with that vision, and we hope to see them grow their presence in our state."
