A flash flood triggered by a cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district washed away a footbridge and three temporary shops, including a liquor shop, early Tuesday morning. According to Deputy Commissioner Torul S Raveesh, no casualties have been reported, and a team has been dispatched to assess the situation.

Commissioner Raveesh advised residents to avoid rivers and rivulets and refrain from constructing temporary structures near nallahs. She also emphasized that construction activities are prohibited during the monsoon, with strict action promised against violators.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of increasing monsoon intensity over the next few days, with peak precipitation expected on July 31 and August 1. Heavy rainfall could lead to landslides and flash floods, particularly in vulnerable areas of Kullu, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla, and Kinnaur districts.
