The father of the murdered trainee doctor from Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He disclosed that his family is far from satisfied with the CM's role in the case and has called for a CBI investigation.
Speaking to ANI, the victim's father stated, "We are not satisfied with the role of the CM (Mamata Banerjee) in the case; that's why we went to the CBI. She hasn't done any work. A policeman informed us that Sanjay Roy has been arrested and will be prosecuted swiftly, but we believe more individuals from the department were involved".
Reacting to Banerjee's remarks urging people to celebrate Durga Puja, the victim's father remarked that no one could genuinely celebrate amid such grief. The victim's mother echoed this sentiment, saying Durga Puja would no longer be celebrated in their home as her daughter, who used to handle it, was no more. They vowed to continue their movement until justice is served.
