Bulgaria Steps Up to Aid Hungary Amid Lukoil Sanctions

Bulgaria has offered its support to Hungary to help mitigate the impact of Ukraine's sanctions on Lukoil, which disrupted oil supplies from the Russian company. Although lacking a direct oil pipeline connection, Bulgaria's foreign minister indicated alternative transport methods for delivering additional oil products to Hungary.

Bulgaria has extended a helping hand to Hungary in the wake of Ukraine's sanctions against Lukoil, which have led to a halt in oil supplies from the Russian conglomerate, according to Hungary's foreign minister on Wednesday.

Even though there is no direct oil transportation pipeline between Bulgaria and Hungary, Bulgaria's foreign minister assured that alternative means could be employed for delivering required oil products, said Minister Peter Szijjarto in a statement.

This gesture may provide crucial relief for Hungary as it grapples with the supply disruption caused by the sanctions on Lukoil.
