The Indian Army has bolstered its disaster management capabilities by inducting 40 heavy-duty hydraulic mobile cranes from Tractor India Limited, according to an announcement on social media platform X. The advanced cranes will enhance the operational preparedness of Combat Engineers and enable them to efficiently manage arduous tasks.

In a separate incident, the Army expressed profound condolences to the families of soldiers who were killed in an encounter in Doda's Desa Forest. The soldiers—Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay—lost their lives during a firefight with terrorists on Monday evening.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and other ranks of the Indian Army conveyed their deepest sympathies, asserting their solidarity with the bereaved families. Simultaneously, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed his condolences and was briefed on the encounter by General Dwivedi.
