In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city, an appearance by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Monday precipitated a violent clash between party workers of Shiv Sena and the ruling BJP.
Police have registered two cases against 60 individuals involved in the unrest, which erupted shortly after workers from both sides staged confrontational demonstrations.
The tense situation saw police deploying batons to control the crowd, ultimately leading to the arrest of 32 BJP workers and 28 Shiv Sena (UBT) activists.
