'Jigra' has been mired in controversies even before its theatrical debut. Johar later criticized what he called the 'gore misinterpretation' of Bala's statements, urging audiences to read full interviews rather than assuming from snippets. Subsequently, Dharma Productions opted to halt pre-release screenings for future films, a decision aimed at preserving audience anticipation.
