A tragic collision between a bus and a tempo in Dholpur, Rajasthan, claimed the lives of 12 people, including children, on Saturday night. The accident occurred near Sunipur, involving a sleeper bus traveling to Jaipur.
In response to the catastrophe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound condolences and announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured. "The accident in Dholpur, Rajasthan, is heartbreaking," the Prime Minister's Office stated, emphasizing that local authorities are providing maximum assistance.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also reacted to the tragedy, instructing officials to ensure that the injured receive comprehensive medical care. As the nation mourns, heartfelt prayers are offered for those who perished and those seeking recovery.
