Geeta Koda, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate for the Jagannathpur Assembly seat, is focusing her campaign on reducing unemployment, ahead of the upcoming elections. Koda criticized the state government for its perceived indifference towards the issue of joblessness, which she says is causing widespread migration in the region.
Speaking to ANI, Koda emphasized the necessity of addressing unemployment to prevent migration and foster development in the area. She pledged to tackle problems related to water, electricity, and essential services, aiming to improve living standards and halt the exodus of residents.
Koda expressed gratitude towards BJP's national leaders, including JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for reselecting her as the candidate despite her loss in the previous election. Her electoral journey from Congress to BJP underscores a strategic realignment as she competes against Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's Joba Majhi, who defeated her in the last assembly election by a significant margin.
