Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg, acclaimed for his Oscar-winning film 'Another Round', is set to head the jury for the 21st Marrakech Film Festival.
The festival will take place from November 29 to December 7 in Marrakech, Morocco, as reported by Variety. This marks Vinterberg's first appearance at the event, known for showcasing diverse cultures through cinema.
In a statement, Vinterberg commented on the festival's role in promoting cultural understanding. The Marrakech jury will bestow its Etoile d'Or on one of the 14 international competitors' first or second films. Vinterberg's climate change-themed series 'Families Like Ours', recently debuted in Venice and will air in Denmark this month.
