On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya by garlanding his statue at the Deendayal Upadhyay Smritika near KKC College in Charbagh on the occasion of the leader's birth anniversary.

Adityanath hailed Upadhyaya's visionary leadership for bringing villages, the underprivileged, farmers, and women to the forefront of political agendas. He praised Upadhyaya as a profound thinker and one of the founding leaders of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, noting that his principles still resonate in contemporary Indian politics.

The chief minister also inducted five new members into the Bharatiya Janata Party as part of its membership drive, echoing the importance of grassroots-level victories in elections. He commended the Lucknow Mahanagar team for their ambitious membership goals and expressed confidence in meeting the targets set by the party.
