A 42-year-old man was tragically killed when his kutcha house collapsed due to heavy rains in Jatwara village, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, officials reported.
Deputy Collector Subodh Kumar stated that Tahir was alone and asleep at the time of the incident. The authorities have assured that compensation will be provided to his family.
Western Uttar Pradesh has been experiencing intense rainfall this week. The weather department's Friday forecast for Muzaffarnagar indicated possible heavy rain or thunderstorm with a partly cloudy sky.
