Odisha Police have ramped up security preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to the state on September 17. Modi will be launching the 'Subhadra Yojana', a significant BJP initiative aimed at empowering women.

DGP YB Khurania, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, and DCP Prateek Singh surveyed Janata Maidan, where the event will take place. The prime minister is set to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 11.35 am, reach Janata Maidan, and leave the state capital by 1.25 pm.

Comprehensive security measures including traffic management, route lining, and VIP protection have been outlined. A temporary police control room has been established, and bomb disposal squads will conduct regular checks. The 'Subhadra Yojana' will provide Rs 10,000 annually for five years to women aged 21-60, benefiting over one crore women through direct benefit transfer.
