In a scathing critique, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of fostering an environment where caste atrocities flourish in several states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, all governed by BJP.

Kharge, who also serves as the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, characterized the BJP's governance as 'anti-constitutional,' citing a rise in acts of violence against Dalits, Adivasis, Backward Classes, and minority groups under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration.

Pointing to alarming statistics and incidents, Kharge highlighted the alleged killing of a Dalit youth in police custody in Madhya Pradesh, and other instances of brutality. He vowed that Congress will resolutely oppose what he termed the BJP-RSS's anti-constitutional ideologies.
