Renowned Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan is set to direct a new rendition of the classic film 'The Thomas Crown Affair', marking his second directorial project. The film will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and will receive a worldwide theatrical release.

Jordan, who recently made his directorial debut with 'Creed III', will also star in and produce the movie through his production company, Outlier Society. The company has secured a first-look film deal and an overall TV deal with Amazon MGM.

The screenplay for the new version is penned by Drew Pearce, building on previous drafts by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson. The original 1968 classic, featuring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, was a significant hit. Jordan's rendition aims to bring a fresh perspective to this iconic story.
