Bengal CM Claims Conspiracy Over Doctor's Death, Urges Return to Festivities

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged a conspiracy involving the Centre and Left parties over the public outcry following the alleged rape and murder of a doctor at a state-run hospital. Banerjee urged people to return to festivities as Durga Puja approaches and requested junior doctors to resume duty. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the Centre and some Left parties were conspiring amid public outcry over the alleged rape and murder of a doctor at a state-run hospital last month.

Banerjee dismissed claims that she offered compensation to the deceased doctor's family, urging people to return to festivities with Durga Puja around the corner.

She appealed to junior doctors to resume duty, quoting the Supreme Court's directive mandating them to return by Tuesday, and reassured that no punitive action would be taken against them.

Banerjee also lauded the Kolkata Police for arresting the culprit swiftly and reiterated her commitment to the bereaved family.
