Principal's Arrest Sparks Protests Over Deleted Ganesh Chaturthi Greetings

A government school principal in Laturi village was arrested after he allegedly deleted Ganesh Chaturthi greetings from a school WhatsApp group, prompting protests from the local community, officials reported Sunday.
Villagers staged demonstrations demanding the removal of Shafi Mohammed Ansari, the principal of the government senior higher secondary school. According to DSP Narendra Nadar, parents and teachers are part of the group where the post was shared.
Uttam Singh, SHO at Bapawar Police Station, stated that Ansari was charged with disturbing communal harmony but was granted bail and released later in the evening. The police noted that the village remained peaceful following the incident.
