In a significant gesture of political solidarity, Dimple Yadav, a prominent leader of the Samajwadi Party and Member of Parliament, visited the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama in Dharamshala on Saturday.

Yadav, who is also the wife of SP chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, expressed her deep admiration for the Dalai Lama and pledged her support for the ongoing struggle of the Tibetan people. 'I have come here to meet His Holiness and express my solidarity with the Tibetan cause,' she stated during her visit to the main Tibetan temple.

In a closely related event, the Dalai Lama attended a special long-life prayer ceremony organized by the Monpa community of Arunachal Pradesh. The ceremony, held at the main Tibetan temple, saw a large delegation from the Tawang region, led by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who presented offerings on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh as a mark of respect and devotion. The event was well attended by exiled Tibetans and key Arunachal Pradesh leaders, showcasing the deep spiritual and cultural connections shared. Khandu also held meetings with officials from the Central Tibetan Administration, reinforcing his commitment to supporting the Tibetan cause.
