Jarken Gamlin Takes Oath as Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh

Retired Major General Jarken Gamlin was sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh. The oath was administered by Governor Lt Gen (retd) K T Parnaik, replacing Rinchin Dorjee. Gamlin will serve for three years or until he reaches 65, previously commanding '51 Sub Area' in Guwahati.

Retired Major General Jarken Gamlin on Monday was sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Lt Gen (retd) K T Parnaik during a ceremony held at the Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan.

In attendance at the event were Chief Minister Pema Khandu, members of his cabinet, Assembly Speaker Tesam Pongte, Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao, numerous MLAs, and commission members. Gamlin succeeds Rinchin Dorjee, whose term ended on August 12.

Gamlin's tenure will last three years or until he attains the age of 65. Before retirement, he commanded the '51 Sub Area' in Guwahati, a major logistics node, and served briefly on the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
