A significant ceremony saw 258 officer cadets and 39 women officer cadets commissioned into the Indian Army at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai on Saturday.

The Passing Out Parade, held at Parameshwaran Drill Square, was overseen by Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General N S Raja Subramani. Notably, ten officer cadets and five female officer cadets from allied foreign nations also completed their training, enhancing international camaraderie.

The new officers, including those from the 118th Short Service Commission course and the 32nd Short Service Commission Course (women), underwent almost a year of rigorous training. Lt General Subramani honored exemplary cadets with various medals and urged the new officers to uphold military values and ensure the well-being of their troops.
