A petition aiming to ban Netflix's OTT series 'IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack' has been withdrawn from the Delhi High Court. The petitioner, Surjit Singh Yadav, was satisfied after Netflix included a disclaimer revealing the real identities of the hijackers.

Yadav's lawyer stated that with the updated disclaimer, there was no need to pursue the plea. The series portrays the 1999 hijack of an Indian Airlines flight by the Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Mujahideen.

The petitioner argued the series initially used names that could hurt Hindu sentiments. Despite the withdrawal, Justice Manmohan suggested that an additional episode covering related court proceedings could provide a 'complete picture'.
