The government has called upon Netflix India's content head to clarify contentious elements in the series 'IC-814 -- The Kandahar Hijack,' following a backlash over the depiction of hijackers.

Sources reveal that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is particularly concerned with the series’ portrayal of the hijackers of the Indian Airlines flight from Kathmandu to Delhi, which some viewers argue portrays the perpetrators too 'humanely.'

BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya expressed strong objections, alleging that the series undermines the hijackers' true identity and criminal intent, while former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah criticized the selective demand for accuracy in film portrayals.
