From navigating floodwaters in boats and bulldozers to inspecting a swollen rivulet from a railway bridge, Naidu's efforts are garnering widespread attention.
The unprecedented rainfall and ensuing floods in Vijayawada prompted Naidu to make several visits to affected areas, where he personally oversaw relief operations. His hands-on approach has become a talking point across the region.
On Thursday, video footage captured by PTI showed the 74-year-old CM assessing the flood situation from the narrow platform of a railway bridge, unfazed by a speeding train that whizzed by, with passengers cheering his courageous fieldwork.
