Bollywood star and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen makes a surprising cameo in the internet series 'Shekhar Home,' a Hindi adaptation inspired by Sherlock Holmes' tales. Directed by Srijit Mukerji and Rohan Sippy, the detective series is set in West Bengal and stars Kay Kay Menon as the titular sleuth.

Sen appears in a black-and-white photo, with a young Shekhar observing, "Isko toh Miss Universe hona chahiye." Director Mukherji explains that he secured permission from Sen, his good friend, who joked about her cameo. Besides Sen, cricketers R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja also find a place of honor in the series, reflecting Mukherji and writer Aniruddha Guha's cricket passion.

Among the noteworthy elements is a poem by dialogue writer Vaibhav Vishal on Rabindranath Tagore, which plays a key role in the season finale. The series stars talented actors like Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, Kirti Kulhari, and more. Mukherji highlights that the season ends on a twist, leaving an open possibility for a second season. Future projects include Mukherji's Bengali film 'Tekka' and the Kashmir-set 'Bhuswargo Bhayankar' on Hoichoi.
