In a significant recognition of corporate social responsibility, the Malabar Group has been awarded the prestigious CSR Times Award 2024 for its impactful 'Hunger Free World' initiative. The jewelry conglomerate was honored at a ceremony attended by dignitaries including Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The Malabar Group's 'Hunger Free World' project aims to combat hunger by distributing 41,000 food packets daily across 69 Indian cities and an additional 10,000 in Zambia. This initiative highlights the company's commitment to addressing global hunger issues in regions where it operates.
Chairman M.P. Ahammed emphasized the importance of social responsibility beyond business success, stating, 'We are deeply committed to addressing hunger and poverty through our 'Hunger Free World' initiative.' The group's CSR efforts also include medical aid, housing support, educational scholarships, and more, with over INR 260 crore invested to date.
