Madhya Pradesh is developing 50 new offbeat tourist destinations to offer a peaceful alternative to crowded spots, according to state Tourism and Culture principal secretary Sheo Shekhar Shukla. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted India's tourism growth, while Shukla noted training for 40,000 women in the sector.

Madhya Pradesh is expanding its tourism offerings by developing 50 new offbeat destinations aimed at tourists seeking tranquility and respite from crowded locations. The announcement was made by Sheo Shekhar Shukla, the state's Tourism and Culture principal secretary, during a business session at the 39th annual convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators.

In addition to this development, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, emphasized during the IATO inaugural function that India's tourism industry growth rate is projected to reach 20 percent. This surge necessitates the creation of more tourist destinations across the country.

Also, Shukla added that over 40,000 women are undergoing training to enhance their skills in the tourism sector within the state, reflecting a significant move toward gender inclusion and workforce development in tourism.
