Kerala Police have registered a second FIR against actor Jayasurya under sections 354, 354A(A1)(I), and 354D of the IPC following a sexual harassment complaint by actress Sonia Malhar.
Speaking to the media, Malhar recounted the alleged incident at the Thodupuzha shooting location of the Malayalam movie Pigman. She claimed that after exiting a washroom, Jayasurya grabbed her, but later apologized.
Malhar faced severe online backlash after she revealed her experience. She explained that her decision to go public was driven by her sons' insistence. The controversy comes amid wider allegations of exploitation within the Malayalam film industry, highlighted by the Hema Committee report.
Another Vucha offshoot: Actress Minu Muneer accused actors Mukesh M, Jayasurya, and others of verbal and physical abuse, leading her to leave the industry. These allegations have surfaced during a period of turmoil in the industry, with notable resignations including that of director Ranjith from AMMA.
