Major Drug Haul in Mizoram: Police Seize Rs 6 Crore Worth Methamphetamine and Heroin
Mizoram police conducted two operations in Aizawl resulting in the seizure of 40 kg of Methamphetamine tablets and 3 kg of heroin valued over Rs 6 crore. Two Myanmar nationals and a juvenile were arrested. The drugs, concealed in car door panels, were believed to be smuggled from Myanmar.

In a striking drug bust, Mizoram police confiscated 40 kg of Methamphetamine tablets and 3 kg of heroin valued at over Rs 6 crore during two separate operations in Aizawl, a senior official confirmed on Wednesday.
Two Myanmar nationals and a Mizoram resident juvenile were apprehended for possessing the drugs, suspected to have been smuggled from Myanmar, Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Lalbiakthanga Khiangte disclosed.
Khiangte, also the chief public relations officer of Mizoram Police, stated that the CID (Special Branch) team executed a covert operation on Aizawl's outskirts on Monday. The team intercepted two vehicles at the Hualngohmun area, uncovering 32 kg of Methamphetamine tablets and 249 gm of heroin priced at Rs 4.2 crore in one car, while 8 kg of Methamphetamine tablets and 565 gm of heroin valued at Rs 1.2 crore were found in a second vehicle.
