Junior doctors in West Bengal are demanding a meeting with Chief Secretary Manoj Pant to address unresolved issues concerning hospital security. The doctors have indicated that these talks are essential for lifting their ongoing protest outside the state health department's headquarters.
The protesting doctors have raised concerns about safety within state-run hospital premises. They have outlined their demands, including details of a promised special task force headed by the chief secretary, as key agenda items for the proposed discussion.
'In reference to our last meeting with the CM, we would like to reiterate there were certain key points regarding our five-point demand which were unresolved. Particularly our 4th and 5th points, concerning the development of healthcare system, safety, security, and the prevailing threat culture,' they stated in their email.
